The windows change with the season, and each one has to work in a different shopfront: Paris, Zurich, three shops in London, Milan. Everything is built from modular elements, sized so the same set can be recomposed to fit frontages of different widths. Many pieces come apart and go back together for the following season, with panels and finishes swapped over. When a season ends the elements stay in use inside the shop, where they become props for other occasions.
This is the project I carried on my own, from the first idea through to the sets arriving in the shops. Once a concept was agreed I moved on to the drawings and worked the details out with the builders, testing materials before anything went into production. From there the sets were shipped store by store and assembled on site by the staff or by specialists, and throughout I dealt directly with the client and the marketing team on what each display had to do for the collection it was showing.
