A 520 sqm boutique on two floors, one of a series of Luca Faloni stores the office redesigned across several cities. In Paris the building was left visible: concrete ceilings stay raw, lighting and services run in the open, and the fine materials land against that surface. A staircase in stainless steel and Carrara marble climbs to the first floor. Columns clad in azul calcite interrupt the display runs, and the plan alternates open rooms with niches for tailoring, for the bar, for the lounge. The display system used in the other stores was reworked to fit the awkward shape of this one.

I modelled the existing state, and that model is where the concept started and what every later decision was checked against. I took part in the selection of the contractor, designed the display windows, and followed the site together with a colleague. The whole job ran in English, with the local architect, the general contractor and the workshops making the furniture, through all the changes that come up once drawings meet a building that is already standing.
